Hey I finally got the money to to the VT brake conversion to my VL. I got the car back today and it feels great in braking. If anyone is considering doing this upgrade i strongly reconmend it. Also now with the bigger brakes i can't put my spare tyre on because it is a 14inch wheel. I'm trying to find a chaser rim and am wondering how much they cost and where is the best place to find one. Also would any wreckers take my old VL brakes as they are not the turbo ones just the excutive ones?

i got the adaptor hubs, etc from a brake place in Sydney. Sorry i can't remember the name but the brake place was in Sydney at ST marys. The disc size is the standerd VX SS which is 296mm i think. I might change them in the future to something bigger. My wheel's size are 16x7. My dad just got his brakes changed to the HSV ones. The disc size is 330mm and i don't think he would be able to fit much bigger due to the size of the caliper but i guess it depends also on how big your caliper is.

I've got these brakes too. I've had them for about a year now and never experienced any brake fade from them. I guess you prolly would if you were on a race track though, but on the road they are excellent. I upgraded from the turbo brakes and noticed a big difference. I have DBA cross-drilled and slotted rotors also. If anyone is thinking of doing this conversion, I got the complete kit from a place called Hoppers Stoppers in Hoppers Crossing, NSW. It cost me just over a grand for the complete bolt on kit delivered to my door. It's cheaper if you don't get the upgraded rotors though.
