what you got to do is replace the melting fuses with the big inline ones u can buy from auto shop get the black ones with yellow wiring. the main fuses that melt are fuel pump and headlights.just undo screws on fuse holder turn it over then find the wires for fuses u want and solder in new fuse

This is a unique factory option on VK-L's, the GMH electrical engineering leaves a lot to be desired. Fancy placing the fusebox ~200mm above the exhaust? WTF?
External fuseholders and additional relays are the way to go but if you want to keep things looking "factory fresh" in there replacing the fuseblock is possible. do a search, plenty of threads on this!
hint: Read the "9xxx xxxx" part number from your melted fuseblock, and goto your local Camira wrecker and find a last of the series 2.0 EFI, compare part # and cut the fuseblock out from under the LHS of the steering column in the cabin. They are the same moulding but they don't melt on Camira's. I ground a small electrical screwdriver to force the non-return tabs on the brass fuseblade terminals to get them out of my fucI<ed one and swap them into the new one.
