guys...just want an idea on what 12 inch subs i should be looking at for great quality/punch/power....... i hear the sony XSL1246 arent to bad.....but ive had people highly recommend the jaycar 12" double magnet (250wRMS, altho ive heard it handles 400 nicely...) both around the 290 mark or so......but yea... im after a big bad ass 12....but dont know where to go !! post away !! Generally people say that Sony speakers aren't that good, although I haven't heard anything from the new range, but the last range were woeful. Jaycar stuff is always good for the price.

How much power do you want to run into the sub? If you're bridging two 50Wrms channels into it, you'll proly have about 200Wrms on tap. With that sort of power you could run a kicker EX124. These subs sound amazing for their price (roughly $200). If you want to pour more power into it, go for a high end sub, like an SPL12, or a Kicker solobaric L7, or an Alpine Type R or something. Rockford subs also rock.

i have 2 100wrms rockford 12's and they go very nicely, they're not getting a lot of power but they go suprisingly well !

I have 2 jbl 12 inch subs they are pretty sweet in an enclosed box, I have heard that they don't perform to well in ported boxes a lot of punch roughly $270 per sub they have about 400watt into each sub

whats a suitable sub (or subs) of any size for a little kenwood 2ch 200w amp? dunno much about this stuff...

Take a look at the JL Audio range of subs. From what i've heard, they seem to be pretty good subs
