ok, im not technically great with these sort of things but i have a funny problem with the car.
when im driving, as soon as i am accelerating past 2.2k revs the car kind of cuts out for a second and goes back to idling revs and then after a second or two you can accelerate again but as soon as you hit the 2.2k rev mark it cuts out again.
the car dosen't stall just goes back down in revs and you cant accelerate momentarily, it doesn't matter if you foot is flat.
the strange thing is this seems to only happen about 50% of the time, sometimes you start the car and it goes fine, the next time, stuffed,
the car is an na calais
any ideas?

No i dont think this ones the CAS.
I think try WD 40 on your AFM connection. If that fails test another AFM in it's place to see if it solves the problem

Yeah hard one to say on this one. Could be CAS, AFM or ECU.
Check your CAS connecter, check AFM connector and hotwire. The ECU well.....hard to test that....

Clint I have had the exact same problem in my NA Calais and its giving me the ****s! It used to do it for me about every second time i'd go out driving.
If it doesnt turn out to be CAS, AFM, or ECU check your fuse box and more specifically the connections to your fuel pump fuse, I found mine were dodgy so i cut the wires and made extensions to a new fuse holder with higher amps. This fixed the problem for about 2 months, but now it has just started doing it again.
let me know if you find anything with the cas afm or ecu

that will fix it every time just connect it a larger capacity fuse . At least if this is the problem and not the connection you will see the smoke from the pump if cannot handdle the fault current 8O
