The diff in my car is slipping like anything - was like it when i picked it up, and is supposed to be an LSD, so i suspect that its rather worn... any ideas how much it would roughly cost for a diff shop to get the LSD goin again ? might get some 3.91's in it while i'm at it too... am i lookin at $100 ? $500 ? $1000 ? better off buying a whole new diff ??

Diff shop at springwood did my LSD install for $550 fitted. Fully reconditioned LSD unit from a VR commodore (they are bigger and a bit tougher than VL). He said to do a gear ration change to 3.9 with the LSD would be around $1000 fitted cause he wouldve had to buy brand new 3.9 gear. 3.7 ration is cheaper casue he has re-co ones lying around. with all new parts and bearings disc to disc mate paid 800 for parts and did it himself to the car i own now

Im getting my LSD rebuilt tommorow and its going to cost $250 approx.

any reason its only costing $250 ? someone in the know how - or doing it yourself ?

I know the diff shop, they built the diff for me in the first palce and i unfortuantely burnt it out when it lost all its oil Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
