Why buy a v8 get the number plate KORUPT, and then leave it gutless enough for an auto VL to beat you????

Probably cause he spent all his cash on the plates and didnt have enough to spend on the engine. There is a camry up here with the plates 'KAOS' on it. Just mags, not much else. Those plates are worth $1795.00 to purchase from Personal Plates QLD. Why would you do that? I suppose, each to their own.....
Around here there is a ladys daewoo or something with the number plates HAZARD. I wanted them also a stock madza 121 with hub caps, with the plate HOT121 hrmm..
I love dragin pre-ecotec V6 commodores, as i usually analate them shoulda seen the look on the VR drivers face when i was side by side with him (neither of us could pull away) and i had 5 people in the car and he had 2. not a bad effort. when there are queal number of people i pull away easily.

A Gen III is quite slow off the mark, slow enough that a V6 can basically keep up with it for a while, but then the Gen III will start really moving along and keep on accelerating awesomely right up to 180-200 km/h!
So the point is some guys brag about 'beating' a Gen III or in this case another V8 up to whatever speed. Many V8s simply aren't quick 'off the mark' but have more top end power like the Gen III.
So to even bother bragging about 'beating' a V8 up to 85 km/h ( is that warp speed ) is quite puzzling really.
Still if it makes someone feel 'more of a man' or, if I have the terminology right, less 'gay' then maybe they need to do it more regularly.

I don't think the Gen3 I was playing with was stock then, it sounded more lumpy than a usual ss, but the prick just killed me off the line and then just kept on going

Yeah aus880, you're a bit off the mark there. Have you ever driven a GenIII? Those engines are capable of moving hugeassed commodores (ie VT's onward) really fast. I've driven a VX SS quite a bit and trsut me, no N/A vl would stand a chance to 85kph. When you take traction control off, its possible to launch VX's really well and they are NOT slow off the line. That being said, they certainly do have more urge up in the rev range. Back to the original post in here, the point that Choice Bro is making here is that not all V8's are fast. If you take a stock holden 5 litre, mate it up to an auto box with no mods, they just aren't real quick. So once again, I say good on him for beating him with a 6 pot!

Yeah there are numerous reasons why I beat him. He was busy revving his motor in neutral and so I got him off the mark by about .5 sec. I stalled my car up whereas he revved his car in neutral kinda like a fag. And I've got a 3.45 diff versus an assumed 3.08. 100 or so kg less, better driver, used the gears. And FYI he wasn't exactly gonna scream past me after 80 either because I was still well in front of him He may have nosed out by about, if he wasnt racing why did he hit about 140km/h, maybe by then if i kept going he would have got me, but this was canterbury road in medium traffic....not smart, kinda like you destroy.
