I'm ordering 18"simmons this week for my calais and am curious what troubles anyone has had fitting 18's if any, its basically as low as legal using lovells and pedders, i've got an adjustable panhard bar, i only ask because it scrubs lightly now with 16" hdt momos. I've been told the simmons will fit better because the offset will be set to suit whereas the hdt rims were made to run 205's not the 225's i'm running, any opinions would be appreciated especially if your running 18" simmons with 235 tyres, thanks _________________

I'm not 100% sure, but i have heard other people say that when there vl's have been lowered, then putting 18's on it tends to rub more than 16's.....which seems pretty logical to me, but dont take my word for it i am most probably wrong :? Jim-

I have polished FR18's on mine and the only mods I had to do was get the guards rolled. Front doesn't scrub at all, and the back only scrubs when I got 2 ppl in the back. Mind you, this is really lowered (entire top part of tyre and part of rim sit under the guard) I would advise getting an adjustable panhard rod installed as well.

I think if you just have adjustable panhard rod and get the guards rolled should all be ok, depends on how low ur car is. By the way how much the simmons set u back as I want to get some for mine.

I had the same prob with my LE rims which were only 16 inch pieces of ****.. But when i bought my 18s ROH Furys they sit in further and the car has been lowered 2 inches and i wish to lower some more. Get the guards rolled as well it may help... I have gone over bumps/swales in the road and no scrapage.
