Guys, I dunno how this may come across to yas but I personally would want to extend this cruise by a week to Sunday 1st December. Simply my boss wont give me the day off even after telling him Ive organised sumfin long time ago. (BTW I do shift work) Now if you guys cant be bothered postponing it for a week, I say go along and have fun this Sunday coming. The whole reason I wanted to organise this cruise was to attend & take my own car down, without having to rely by jumping in someone elses or hearing stories. What I can confirm is that it will be a Homebush meet at 10am and by the looks of it some big motors might be coming down. Therefore since no date is confirmed, I pledge to you to allow a week extra... please!!! It also allows me some more time for handing out info to onroad VL drivers. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VL Summer Drift Date: (Suggested) Sunday 1st December 2002 (please read above and let me know) Confirmed Info Times: 10:00AM MEET and 11:00AM(SHARP) DEPARTURE. If your late, your just gonna have to catch up down the road or at the 'Gong. Requirements: Bring your car or jump along in your mates, cash for food etc, any cars preferably VL Turbos, wash the car beforehand If you see cars getting stuck at traffic lights, pull over and let them catch up. The whole idea is to have a big VL cruise. Meeting Place: One of the parking lots @ Australia Ave, Homebush Bay (next to Olympic Stadium train station) (UBD™ page no. 212 grid ref. N16) or try www.whereis.com.au Route: We start from Australia Ave Homebush Bay. We then lead the convoy down the straight road from Centenary Drv thru to Roberts Rd thru to King Georges Rd until we reach Princes Hwy at Blakehurst and follow it thru Sylvania and Sutherland and then onto the freeway to Marine Drv Wollongong Beachside. We will turn the place into a little Wollonats Weather: If it is raining at 9:30AM Sunday Morning and doesn't look like stopping whole thing is called off. Reason being is that LSD, Power and Wet don't mix. Hopefully, its a nice summer day. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I live in the gong, but will gladly come up just to cruise down with the rest of you guys. I was there last sunday and there is always an array of local VL tubo's and calais around, so it should be a good day Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Just a quick reminder to everyone that certain streets may be closed around the lighthouse and car parks may be baracaded not allowing entry. This really depends how may cars there are around, and how big of a prick the local cops want to be, who constantly patrol the area all day sunday. Although if you do the right thing, defects are rarely dished out for minor things. Although there are exceptions: eg. gemini with 18's riding on 2 coils.... a common sight in the gong.

just to add to my misery today, i got defected for my "intercooler", "pop-off valve" and my "large-sized rims" in operation viking that the cops are undertaking in Brighton le Sands & probably all of Sydney. i sort of invited the copper to my car with a chirpie... so i then got a 24hr yellow label and neg driving, spewing. Let me advise to all you guys with done up cars, never cruise near brighton until mid December or so. This operation was brought out entirely to stuff us up, as per the words from the copper himself. regarding the cruise, its looking sweet so far. i would like to ask if anyone has a digital camera, pls do bring it along. 10 o clock meet, 11 o clock drift-off at olympic stadium train station parking lot, homebush bay any problems, you can contact me on my email, [email removed] cheers

I was at Brighton le Sands on Sunday night. Cop cars started appearing everywhere pulling people over. I decided to leave as I did not want to get a defect. The Gong cruise sounds good.
