I found that the Penrite was pretty good, and you could also try Motul. Its pretty expensive but they have done tests on a race bred Civic in Japan with 2 different oils for commercial use, and the Motul actually added about 10hp over the regular. A bold claim i know and i am expecting to have a million posts calling me a wanker, but i've seen dyno sheets from it. I'm putting some Motul in there next time round. Its bloody expensive though at like $60 for 5L

I use 10W50 Penrite oil in my VL 3 litre engine. I have been told not to use it by different people as they think my engine is too old,but I haven't noticed any real problems while I have been using it. There was actually a noticeable power gain when I first used it,the only little problem with is as they all mention it being semi synthetic,a small amount weeps out from under the oil filter gasket, and a tiny bit leaks from a fairly new rear main seal that is wearing on a speedi sleeve (pretty tight fit),surprisingly though, the front seal was weeping slightly with the 15W60 oil,it was debatable how well the front one would seal as I figured I botched the installation of the speedi sleeve up (had a burr in the end of the crank which I missed) but after a while the weeping stopped, even with the 10w50. But then again, they say that an oil seal is expected to leak approximately 1 teaspoon a year of oil.
