Hmm ive got a VH which has a tired old 202 in it and im contemplating putting a carby 308 in it with all the associated stuff like diff brakes etc. BUt i was thinking would it be viable to put a VN V6 into it for something a little different?
The cost i think (hope) wouldnt be a whole lot different (im thinking around 2-2500 grand or cheaper if i find a rooted VN) and the V6 would have more power than a 308 and have be more reliable.
Eager for any thoughts on this....
Thanx

how fast do u want to go?
if u want to do good 1/4 mile times go 308
if your up for a cruiser with a bit of punch go 3.8L

Yeah 1/4 mile times arent really an issue as my little bro wil be just driving to school and back alot of the time while im at work.
Other thing is how hard would this conversion be? im thinking it should be too hard, change engine and gearbox, change petrol tank, wire up computer, change brakes and radiator and stuff
Theres nothing major im missing is there?

it would be a bit of a job, personly i loove the sounds of a V8, but the V6 would be alot more fule effcient!

the V6 cinversion would be a hell job - u'd have to manufactur new engine mounts. perhaps exhaust headers
V8 would be piss easier and cheaper
u could probly buy a VN for the prive it would cost to convert ur VH
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yeah as Old Gold said, you'd be looking at far too much to convert over the V6.
Try looking into a 308, but then at the same time if you have a school age brother, do you realy want him driving a V8 around?
Maybe going to a VN is a better option still...

What about fuel injected head from VN on a 308? Give the old a bit of the new?
