i need you guys help on this one, i was wondering how many litres of petrol you guys can put in an emty tank, and how many km's you get out of it. at the moment, i can only seem to be able to put 50ltrs. in when empty, and i only get about 300 - 350 km's. i just need to know what is average for a (n/a) 3lt. calais. cheers...

At the moment, i'm getting around 14-15 litres per 100km's, city driving, hammering it, so around 400km's from a full tank. On the highway, I have got over 600km's from a tank though.

Ok figure this one out. Before I converted the RB30 to the twin cam head I was getting about 550km around town and about 600km on the highway. With the new twincam I get between 400 and 550 around town pending on my mood to put the foot down. Out on the highway the most I have sucked out of a tank was 750km and that was sitting on about 140km/hr on average. . I knew my car inside out before I changed the enigine. Now I have to learn the whole damn thing again. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

if u go into the last quarter of ur tank all the time the in tank pump sucks air and it'll go kaput. (the wining sound u hear gets louder as it dies). Generally its better to fill up sooner unless you're testing your economy or something. but who am i to talk, i don't even look at the gauge until the low light comes on!

I have owned my car for 7 yr's now and I do not think a tank refill has ever been done above a quater. Hmmm. TOUCH WOOD lol
