I bought my NA VL about 5 months ago and it already had extractors on it... i dont know what brand, is there much difference between brands? should i get some ones?
also how do i find out if my cat on the exhaust is hi-flowed? i've got a 2.5 inch exhaust with 3" crome tip..
any help or ideas welcome.

going from stock exhaust to extractors on an n/a gives a pretty small difference, going from one type of extractors to another would cost too much and the difference would be completely unnoticable. with the cat, call the guy you bought it off and ask him. otherwise i dunno pull it off and look?
Im guessing the cat would be stock.
But thats only a guess !!!
When i got a quote for a 2.5 inch exhaust on my NA VL i was told to keep the stock cat.
Apparently its the same cat that is used on turbo VL's anyway.
if u need to know if ur cat is hacked out or "hiflowed" then i suggest u tap on it with a broom handle or something (ok this sounds dodgy but it worked 4 me) then if it sounds really hollow then its prolly been hacked.
i know this works cause i did it to mine it sounded hollow and then my dad took it off and it had been hacked also tryed it on my mates it didnt sound hollow took it off to make sure and it wasnt hacked.
p.s- im pretty sure this way works most of the time but im not gonna say it deffinatly will oh and also im told black **** that u can see inside the tip of ur exhaust is asign of the cat been hacked mine had that black **** also im told the fumes smell abit different and mine did so yeah theres some ideas 4 ya.
also dose any1 know approx how much it is to buy a new cat i want one of them straight thru ones or what ever there called. cause i havent gone looking 4 1 yet but ive been told pices from $40 thru to $350 so yeah.

hmmmm, maybe mine has been "hi-flowed" because I get quite a lot of that black **** in and around my exhaust... natho has nice long line of it down his driveway actually from my car haha...
