definitely laserline. ive had two and both have been great.
do NOT go to a certain place by the name of "akshun" alarms. i think its spelt differently though they are the most arrogant pricks and have screwed my girlfriend round in ridiculous ways. the alarm is a piece of **** to begin with as well. they charge $30 just to LOOK at the remote!! and its still under warranty!! less than a year old!! we've asked for the money back numerous times but they refuse obviously. her first remote stopped working and they looked at it and blamed her because she "pressed the button too hard and wore out the spring" and they were going to charge her to fix it, so we said **** that and used the spare one. that has never been used and doesnt work properly after 3 weeks. hafta press the button a million times to get it to work. probably going to pull it out and get a laserline, its beyond ridiculous now.
sorry about the long post, bit of a chip on my shoulder about that one :x

talk to 'westside car audio', they fit laserline alarms. 'wectcoast alarms' fit mongoose. i got a mongoose from westcoast, no complaints about mine, but workmanship on a few mates cars is dodgy.
Speak to Tony from Alarm & Audio Excellence, ph [phone removed].
Great price & service and a sponsor of the Commodore Car Club of WA.
Will come to your house and do the job. (and he has a Calais Turbo and a blown VT S Pac (with a vortech blower)
Laserline need components added to work with a turbo timer. Autowatch is a not bad alarm for the price. Just stay away from the Taiwan made ones. I had a few drama's with my laserline - thats why I never got another, plus my mate who does stereo's and alarms said that autowatch was the better alarm for under $600. If ya wanna go nuts and spend TOP $$ on the best by all means do so. 8)
I've got an autowatch and it's fine. Had the boot release hooked into the alarm so just have to press the remote.
You can also turn the audbible arm/disarm chirp off if you wish.
