i have a vl berlina which has an electric ariel. There is a pink wire going to the stereo which is for the ariel but i don't have a switch near the instruments which control's the height. I was wondering whether i should have a switch there to do that or if not whether if i get the part with the switch in it will it work? If you have succesfully decifered this message please help! thanx

This was a calais only feature I believe. you can add the switch panel, but it wont work with anything but the calais proper power antenna .. aftermarket ones are only up/down ones, not height controllable. (well, not by the setup in the calais). Do you really need to adjust the height? Up or down is all you need .. most modern decks have a seperate antenna wire anyway, that triggers the antenna only when the radio is used .. very handy. Antenna down when listening to cds/whatever else.

i think that the option is in the berlina aswell. i have since figured out that the only reason its not working is because its an after market ariel. gonna try and get the real thing tomorow. thanx anyway.
