Sorry i don't know my later model Holdens too well, i think they are VT's and stuff that come supercharged. I'm kinda sick of looking for a nice VL, and everyone is telling me to get something newer, so i was just wondering are VT's and things like that any good? I think if i were to get one, it would be supercharged (i dont need lotsa power, but a couple of mods would be done). Are they actually quicker than normal commo's or are they just gimmicky? Mind you, i only like Holden's these days, so there isn't much else i want. Thanks guys.
The only commodores to be supercharged are the ones with Ecotec, which are basically the VS to VX...
You will find that a VT Supercharged 6 is going to be very expensive as only really the Berlina's and Calais's came supercharged. A VS would be a cheaper option, looks good and is very comfortable inside, front is roomy and so is the back.
They aren't much quicker than an Exec because they have all the added little toys which add weight usually. As for mods, you can't do alot with the stocko supercharger from what i've heard.
What you could always do is buy a VS Exec Ecotec and then something like a Eaton supercharger kit.
P.S. This should be in other model commodores... hehe
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
You can find that the VT's came supercharged in Spacks and also in SS's. You can put different belts on the supecharger to produce more boost. Also a better exhaust and headers.
A VS Series 2 Calais with the supercharged V6 is the car to buy if you want performance. The magazines tested them and ran a 14.6sec qtr. Makes for a nice sleeper. Only other VS's they were available in were the Statesman and Caprice models. The VT's were too heavy for the motor and were quite a bit slower.

Apparently if you have a stock VSII/VT/VX/VY supercharged V6, you can spend $1400 on buying a Yella Terra "Terra Charger" kit to upgrade the power. The stadard kW figure for these engines is 171kW, with a Terra Charger kit it adds approx 25%. That makes it about 214kW. Hell, the HSV VR GTS/Senator's in 1994 supoposedly had 215kW, for a stroked V8! This kit would be better as the V6 engine is lighter. To supercharge a 5 litre V8 is more expensive - the Terra Charger kit for the 5L is close to $6K. Stuff that!
standard boost is 6psi which makes 171kw
as for mods theres other things around than the yella terra upgrade.

these pulley upgrades for instance you can get to boost from 10psi up 14psi and producing fwkw from 30kw to 50kw for only $695. After studying and talking to the people involved with these smaller pulleys they sound like the best value for money! The 10psi pulley is the best all rounder pulley that can be used with no retuning and also doesnt put stress the blower.
Capa also have supercharger upgrades for the same price and im pretty sure that they boost it to 10.5psi.
VT-VY Snout Assembly - 3.4" or 3.6"

Found these while looking aswell

I actually think 'aunger' CAIs would be cheaper, saw one in autobarn today for a vt 5.0ltr which was $239.
I think they go way better than a standard 6 so ill be happy with these minor mods. This page here also gives a good easy plan on how more power out of them
