Turbo Brakes are bigger than non-turbo, Bigger Disks, and the Master Cylinder is bigger as well!!!! Yes you can up grade your brakes to the turbo units... You need to change disks, calapers, and master cylinder, have fun 8)

Don't forget the different booster too!! I have just changed the booster and master cylinder, I'm just saving up for DBA kangaroo paw drilled discs Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

U can change over to turbo front brakes U don't need to upgrade ur master cyl or brake booster.. Althought u will have to get a new bearing kit for the front wheel hubs... me thinks Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Whats the point in changing the discs and calipers but not the booster?? The turbo/V8 booster is double the size(double diaphragm).

If u are just using front brakes.. there is really no need... I don't think the technically background behind it... but there isn't a need.. Having the booster and don't having the rear disc can make the car lock up alot easier... which is a no no 8)

The turbo has a bigger booster because it has less vacum, think about it, it spends half of its time under positive pressure ie: boost. I had turbo brakes and calipers on a n/a with the std booster and cyl and they were fine.

Yeah, I'm not saying that the brakes wont work without the turbo booster but they will work MUCH better with it...

Why does the V8 have the same booster to the turbo then??? The turbo/V8 booster pushes the brake fluid 'harder' through the brake lines thus making the brakes more responsive. I have just finished putting the turbo booster and 1' master cylinder on my NA Calais and the brakes are more responsive then what they were, I haven't put the bigger discs and calipers on yet.

Hmm, that makes sense what carcrazy said and i have thought about it before. I have a VLT with the n/a booster still. Am i going to die? Also the aircon doesnt get enuff vacuum to work on positive boost, any ideas?

...put VT Commodore brakes on - better than VLT brakes. I'm not going to be using a booster at all on my set-up.
