well after thinking about putting night shades on for ages now. i put it on but now i reckon its too dark. i put a couple of layers on and didnt really change much so i thought Yeah a bit more. when i got it kinda right i let it dry, came back 5 mins later and BLACK. u can still see the lights and indicators when flashing but i reckon it looks bad and a bit too dark. i want them to look berlina like. so can i take this **** off and try again. ps. to anyone thinking about doin it, do it in full sun. i did it in a real shady garage and didnt get the intended effect. ha.

Hahaha, dude, same prob here, kinda. Yeah, you can take it off easy as with turps...just wipe it good. I suggest you tape up the bits you dont want to do (i will be - ie the reverse lights look better whiter and are more functional). I would have done it in the light though man, doing it in the dark seems pretty dumb (no offense), but then again i did mine just before it started getting windy and i have a splotch...meh Just take your time and do it in a non-windy, fairly dust free, well lit area. Maybe do one or two light coats at a time, let it dry a few minutes and compare against the car.

When I did mine, I left about 15 mins between coats, just to let the first one dry and get an idea of how dark they were getting.

Berlina tail lights actually just have the raised bits painted and the rest clear, be carefull with niteshades, if somebody runs up your arse they might try the i didnt see his brake lights trick and you will probally be screwed as you have reduced the visibility of your tail lights..

yep, berlina lights are the way to go, I got some aftermarket ones for $80 each I think when I did mine. I think about $250 or so for genuine ones (was 1999 when I did mine)

All the lights at the rear including the brake lights are now much harder to see so do you think it would be legal ( or smart ) ????? But hey why don't you tell the cops that commonsense can't get in the way of bad automotive fashion taste. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

we'll i've never been pulled over because of them, and ive driven past countless cops during the day and night. Also my friend also get his VK defected for cracked tail lights, he's got his tinted as much as mine, and when he fixed the tail lights they passed them even tho they were tinted, i live in the country tho, and the cops arent to bright down here, one of em was trying to tell the guy with the vk that they didnt come out with injection and he would have to get the whole car taken to regency to have it looked over cos its got injection...
