hey guys, i'm just setting up this post to get some opinions on a sound system in a suzuki swift. This suszuki is minus 1 back seat, and replacing it are twelve 15" subs, running off 2 amps. Then powering the whole system is 2 tractor batteries located in the boot. I've seen the car but yet to see the sub setup-up close; so i don't have exact details, but u'll have an idea on what it's like.... :? Tell me what you guys think, cos personally i think it's a joke , and sounds pretty dodgy! Express your thoughts... thanx Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Sounds stupid, would probably blow the little snot-box apart when he turns it on But I did see a commodore ute with a lot of subs filling up the tray, and that was only powered by a few amps I think Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

If so, it's running a Blaupunkt DX-R Navigation unit with Blaupunkt 12-disc stacker, JVC 120W 6.5-inch splits in the front, three Signat Dig-1 amps (1130WRMS each), 18x12-inch JVC Strobo subbies in a custom sealed tray enclosure, 2x10-inch subbies in the cabin... Insane bass... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Sounds like someone is yankin your crank mate... 12 x 15" Subs in boxes that fit would be a tight fit into a landcruiser. No way in hell would that go into a Suzuki Swift. But then i have seen a ZF Fairlane with no back seat and 12 x 12" Kicker Solabaric subs... the system was so bassy that the sheet metal on the doors would warp if ya played it too long.

how gay would 12 15"s sound in such a small box (it must be to fit in a swift) and the wood would have to be like 6 inches thick anyhoo.... sounds pretty gay to me....

Ive seen that car, and from memory it only made 148db? With digital amps you can run stuped amounts of speekers, i think they make max power at like 1ohm meening if you have 6 8ohm subs per amp, wiring them all in series, ull end up with around that, (from memory) 8 - 8 = 4 ohm \ / 4ohm - 4ohm = 2 \ / 2ohm - 2ohm then ram that into the bridged amp = 1ohm with a ****bag of load!! The reason its not mega loud is because of lack of air!!, i had a vh wagon. and it was louder with 2 15's then 4 15's!! all with the same box volume .. and same power ! 145db with the 2 and 143 with 4 all earthquake gear, anyway.. db is passe`

Your diagram will not quite work out either :S

And you're also forgetting that although it may produce a lot of power, that power still has to be divided by the number of subs you have ie say you have a 300WRMS @2ohm amp and you run 2 4ohm SVC subs in parallel off it to produce a 2ohm load, each sub will still only recieve 150WRMS each
