Im looking to convert my rb30e into an et and rather than buying the parts individually i was wondering if anyone supplied turbo conversion kits.

Dude, there's heaps to consider. The injectors on NA's are smaller than on turbos, and will provide restrictions pretty early on. New inlet and exhaust manifolds and a bigger bore exhaust will be needed. You'll need to decompress the engine with either shaved (or new) pistons, or a decompression plate. Boost guage is a must. Your tranny (and i think diff) is different Turbo items. How well they cope and what characteristics they'll provide are a bit of a mystery to me. All that being said, I have a mate who is a ****in pro wil VL's and he'll be doin the lot for mine soon. Retail prices would be through the roof i reckon.

Actually i lied. Decompressing is not strictly essentail. Turboing a standard compression engine will give heaps of torque, particularly low down, and it'll be bloody responsive. On the downside, it'll ping like a *******.

well im no expert but the way i look at it its gonna cost a heap any way so instead of buyin a turbo motor wich there is a good chance it will be ****ed u might as well get a good mechanic to rebuild your engine as a turbo ie. get them to change every thing that needs to be changed. well this way will be friggin expensive but hey at least the engine should turn out schweet istead of buys one of some idiot out of the trading post.

A few weeks ago i saw a VL Turbo with a blown motor but still good turbo for sale for $1000. i was wondering if it would be worth buying that and putting all the nessesary parts from that car onto mine to make my NA a turbo. would it be cheaper this way?
