I just bought a 5-channel v-power alpine amp yesterday and hoping you guys might have an idea on what sub to match to it, I was looking at the 12" alpine s12, but i want an accurate and punchy sub and not necceseraly the loudest.

Whats the power ratings for the amp?? Or at least the model number so i can look it up....

its an alipne mrp-f320 i think - 4x40wrms+1x120wrms. cheers

It would be ok to run your speakers but id get another amp to run your subby, say a 2 channel amp that bridges to 200+ WRMS would be good to run a nice subby.....atm bridging 2 of your channels on that amp would only put out 120wrms, the subby would be rated at much more which means you wont be pushing it as hard as you could.....

120 watts isn't great in terms of input level. Try and grab yourself another amp... The Alpine would be fine for running a set of splits and a set of 6x9's.

try see if somewhere like jb if in bris or strathfield will do u a deal, jb here do decent deals if u buy things likeamp subs and wires together
