My mate has a VN Calais and we are going to slap a blower on it. He has a quote for a new Vortech kit but also might be able to get a second hand STA kit. Anyone running one of these types of superchargers on their Commodore? What's invloved in fitting it - I assume upgraded injectors and an ECU upgrade is required? What do ya's think of them? Any info much appreciated Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Hey Jase.... I was looking into the addition of a blower to my VS and all it really needs is a new ECU, Bigger injectors and a fuel pump to cope. The vortech system i was quoted was able to handle up to 15 pound of boost with an intercooler so they are pretty balsy. I haven't heard much about the STA ones. Using the CAPA website they seem to think that a stock VS 3.8L can come from 147kw to around 240+kw... thats a pretty good advantage, the only problem is, to get a vortech system you need to sell a kidney on the black market to pay for the *******.
