I'm in need of the right angle speedo cable adaptor for the MX7 5 speed gearbox. Anyone bought one of these off Nissan? Are they available through Nissan or anywhere else - how much? Otherwise anyone have one they want to sell me? Would also be interested in a VLT manual driveshaft or even just the uni's.

You dont even need to use it, my cable goes straight into the box (i think!), no angle bits there?

..yeah havent actually checked yet but I'm assuming the EH trans tunnel may be a bit on the small size for the gearbox.

NA vl's dont need the 90degree adapter because of the smaller box. The VLT box is a fair bit tighter squeeze in the tunnel. I rang a few gearbox places and all said that the 90 degree adapter is a universal type thing and can be picked up off all different types of cars. Just go to the wreckers. The speedo drive - no luck, the only option was holden, a couple of people suggested that a late model 300ZX unit MAY fit but wernt sure. Rang a couple of jap wreckers and no-one would separate one from a G/box

You can use a n/a manual cable and feed it straight into the side of the box, just use a little bit of hose over the bit that touches the floor so it doesnt rub, it works really well.
