Hey,
I was planning on buying either a VL or VK late 80's model calais but i aint sure which is the best buy, i'm leaning towards the vl mainly because of the looks but was wondering which is the better car.
Does anyone have any opinions for me?

No seriously, the VL. Newer car, better engine, blah, blah.
I picked mine up for $1K unrego'd [it's N/A] spent about $1500-2000 [inc. rego and insurance] over the last 12-15 months to get it running like a champion. The only regret I have is that I couldn't find a turbo'd one for a grand..
PS - Mine is just an executive.

the VL craps all over the VK!! plain and simple, if you choose the vl you will be driving a better car!
