I smashed my VL the other day and now it has no front,
I was wondering how hard it is to change the standard vl front
(which is gone on my car) into a Vl Calais front. If anyone has any
ideas or suggestions fell free to mention them.
Hey hows it going
your looking at paying approx 500 bucks upwards for a decent one -
considerations also are - may need to respray it to suit your car
if your front end has been pranged up and bent alot may need alot of playing around to make it fit nice.
up to you of course - ill keep my eyes peeled and let you know if i find anyone selling em -
Not hard to put on, but even with a straight body, there's a bit of alignment to be done, so if you've had an accident, then you may have major alignment issues (guess it depends what type of person you are and if you want the car to be a showy or not)
Thanks for all the helpfull info guys,
I ripped off all the front pannels today and found out that the front mounts for the headlights were mangled pretty bad. To my horror I also noticed they had been crushed before and fiberglassed on by the dodgey previous owner.
One of my neighbours is a pannel beater so we are still deciding if it is worth fixing.
If anyone can help me locate a vl calais front around sydney in reasonable
condition i would be greatful.
