I had to replace my CAS a couple days ago, I rewired the plug with the new one and installed the new CAS! All seems fine apart from the timing wont go back any further than 10degrees, i tried taking the dizzy out and putting it back a notch but the car wont even start like that! So i have just left it being a bit out but i can still get the timing on 20 degrees. Any ideas on how to fix this prob?? Did i not install the dizzy right? I marked the position of the rotor before i took it out with the motor on the DTC notch, when i replaced the dizzy the rotor position looked the same...

rotate your engine by hand(use a socket on the bolt on the bottom pulley) until it is at tdc. u can then adjust the dizzy until the rotor is pointing at the no1 sparrk plug lead terminal. then u can fine tune the timing using the timing light and u should b able to get 20 degrees.

But what i am saying is that you should be able to adjust the timing all the way back to 0 degrees but turning the distributor but it can only go back to around 10 which is not normal. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
