hey ppl, just bought a second hand hks turbo timer off a mate. and im not sure how to instal it??...ok i got no idea.. i got yellow, red, green, black, blue and a hand brake( i think) wire, he said you dont really need the hand brake one. i really want to do this by my self so i can learn how to do it. does any one know how? i got all the tool etc..just need a guide. any help would be great thanks guys. also i can get a cheap blitz dual sbc/ hks electronic boost controllers was wondering if any you guys hooked on of these up as well? any sites worth trying at all?

you really should hook up that handbrake one, worth your while in the end, took me a few mins to work out why my TT wasnt working one day - becoz the handbrake wasnt on. I had a harness for the HKS TT just last week that I gave to a mate, get it wired up properly whatever you do.

you could guess what wire did what but your best bet would be to get a wiring diagram to be sure Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

inside the steering rack there should be two fat wires, a red and a pink. the pink is the ignition and the red is the power. these two wires have to be joined with the wires from the turbo timer. the black one is the earth that can earth anywhere on the chassis i.e. a screw holding the dash in. The hand brake one im not sure about because my timer doesnt have that. it is very easy to install because i done it.. and im far from a pro. Any other questions just PM me. cheers. Andrew

thanks guys, the dude that i bought it off put it in for me..didnt seem that hard. didnt use the handbrake one, works fine..but our f**king alarm isnt compatable with it..cant lock it till the timer is finished..oh well. just put in a hks boost controller as well..omg it made a big difference..sounds better, spools better..it just awesome..
