Im looking at putting a auto in my car pretty soon so i will be selling off the MX7 gearbox but dont know what their worth, does anyone know? I would also be selling the 5 puck brass button clutch which cost me about $800, the flywheel, master cylinder and the clutch pedal pretty much everything to do auto to manual conversion maybe even the tailshaft. What do you think that stuff would be worth :?:

I paid $900 for a bare box, no other bits except a worn out clutch and a flywheel. If its a kit id say $1000 + considering its all there.

..yeah I've seen just the gearbox's go for anything up to $1400 so $2000 for everything sounds like a decent price. I'm after the clutch slave cylinder and speedo gear drive thingo for my MX7 if anybody has any?

i picked up a complete conversion for $1100 including tailshaft. all std gear tho.

yeah i am in same position. I got a c4 auto ready to go in my car atm and i jsut rebuilt my MX7 and has good clutch etc in it. I was gonna look at about 2000 as well as MX7s are good gearboxes and are rare to get now

i paid 1200 for my full set up. clutch is a bit dodge though. would you consider selling me the clutch, flywheel, pressure plate and the slave cylinder? andrew

got c4 with manaul valve body and alrady rebuilt by bib grant for 1300 then i paid 1600 for anonther rebuild and transbrake. but you need to get a adaptpr plate made up by a engineer. was in a car producing 800hp and the rigoli r33 runs one and it has a Y2K turbo on it

..StageIII, I got a RB30ET clutch/pressureplate, nearly brand new which I'm selling for $160. Also a flywheel if you need it.

Hey guys. Im in the same boat as you PSI03L. Though mines not running yet... Im going to run the motor in and have it tuned with the MX7 as its easier with a manual on the dyno... then im looking at selling the Mx7 I have with brass button. Im gonna ask 2600ono with the lot. Im after the C4 that Dominello's Transmission do. Apparently they do a killer C4 which is built for 8second cars and they also do a complete VL turbo conversion kit. Sounds good to me... I was gonna give them a call as soon as my motor is running and suss everything out! L8rZ!

Yeah im probably going to get my C4 from Dominellos, he seems a little pricey but sounds like he knows what his doing and assures me ill have no problems so thats worth the extra dollars.

Hey PSI... do you mind me asking how much you got quoted? to my understanding he was charging 3grand for the kit with a 2500/3k high stall and full manual valve body. Tranny brake is extra... and so is upgrading ure stall but 3k allup was good. I was told all u need is the shifter. Let us know man

if your thinking dominellos is a tad bit expensive , try giving als race glidesin wetherill park a call . 96091667 .... his pricing is pretty reasonable

Try hugo's in melbourne does race glides and all the racematic conversions for the fastest vls in oz. Good prices

all you guys who are getting rid of your mx7s please write down my email, [email removed], and email me when you are getting rid of your boxes . im probly buying a manual gbox in the next couple of months. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
