has anyone with an N/A auto played round with diff ratios? if so, what have the results been, in terms of acceleration, fuel consumption and rpm effects? bty, does the manual have the same diff ratio as the auto? if not, what is it's ratio? same question for turbos.

6cylinder VLs all have same diff ratio, 3.45:1, V8s had 3.08:1

The 2 litre VL N/A (RB20E) over here had 4.11's A set of 3.89 gears might be a good improvement for a 3L N/A VL.

Just remember when you put bigger rims your ratio is longer.

Go the 3.9:1 it'll make your car faster off the line. Top speed should really matter as you can only do 100km/h other than that it will make a difference. 4.11:1 would make the biggest difference but you end up doing around 3000 rpm at 100km/h Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
