I am currently considering changing my vlt to a 5 speed and was wondering whether the 5 speed boxes from rb20/25 turbo engines would be a straight bolt up to my existing rb30 engine if i used everything for a normal conversion besides the vl box. :?:

..they bolt straight up, probably need the slave cylinder that comes with the box? Not sure about the uni's either. Rb20 boxes arent that strong. RB25 boxes are $$$$ and rare.

Yes the R33 is the box to use stronger than a MX7 and R32.It will bolt straight to ur engine no worries, only thing i had to modify was the slave cylinder location and th length of the tailshaft.Try and get the yoke when u buy the box.I got my box from Just Jap in Sydney for $1300. If u have any other questions just ask and good luck.
