What's involved in replacing a Calais Tach Dash with my stock executive dash? Does it simply just screw in, and there is a wire for the tach already behind the dash? Cheers

Yes the tacho will work, but the calais low fuel light and low colant lights wont work, to get them to work you need to transplant a berlina or calais wiring loom into it and change the body control module with one from a calais. also you need to put an oil gauge sender in and a coolant sensor into the radiator.

The vl doesn't have a body control module does it ???. I thought that was VN onwards, could be wrong though.

You have to get the oil pressure sender with the dash too. it screws into the block in a **** of a spot. It uses a different wire, but it should be part of the harness.

The vl does have a body module, its in the drivers side kick panel, its a black box with two large plugs in it. I just rewired my sl with a berlina harness to make the cruise cont work and various other toys and it wouldnt work without it. I had a look inside one and there is a circut board inside.
