How easy is it to hook these up ? apparently theres a sensor that gets screwed in somewhere on the block - is there a bolt or something that i can take out to put this sensor in ? or does it go somewhere else or something else needed to be done before i can put the sensor in..

You really need to drop the sump and weld a fitting to it

I just got one recently and i found they are a bitch to fit!!!!! You have a few options: 1. Weld a fitting into the sump.. a lot of f$#king around.. 2. Put a t-piece in the oil hose from the turbo to the sump or; 3. Get a spacer that is used for an oil cooler.. this goes between the block and the oil filter. It has 2 fittings in it which can be used for an oil cooler (in/out) lines however, I am going to block one off with a brass plug and mount the sensor in the other!!! Easy fix!!! Took me a while to work it all out, just waiting on the part.. i can let u know the price of u want!! CDUCME

That adapter is not designed to be blocked off! oil will have to flow through the check ball and spring assy, this is only for an emergency blockage, it does not allow full oil flow. i would suggest a different approach. like making a line up that links in and out together and has a tee off that, try and make all the fittings have good flow (not too restrictive).

Are you 100% sure.. through the shop we contacted the distributor of the adapter and he assured me that I can block off one end and mount the sensor in the other without a problem!! I told them to double check this and he said no worries! We told him the application of the adpater and all was good!! I dont f$#kin know!!! argh!! :?: CDUCME

If you have a look at the adapter, the in and out is seperated by a check ball and spring, which is not designed to flow the full volume of oil. if you could just block the inlet and outlet, when used with a cooler, oil would just flow straight through and not through the cooler right? perhaps they are selling something that is different to my one (but i dont think so). You could piss the guts of the bypass valve off and get the digrinder in there and open it right up so the in and out are effectivly the same, then you could block 1 hole and use sender in other. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
