Hi, I have just noticed recently that my back seat (bottom part) is loose on the passengers side. I compared it to my friends vl and his is securley fastend down, where as mine can be lifted up quite easily. I tired to get it back on the clips and it fitted but it is still loose. Does anyone have any fixes or ideas to fix this.

You've got to push fairly hard towards the back of the car, and then up wards. If this doesn't work then maybe the clips are broken or have been bent badly. Keep at it, it shouldn't be too hard, takes a bit of oomph.

Hi, I have included some pictures for people to see what exactly is going on. Thing that happens is when someone sits in the back it tilts forward and the seat nearly comes off. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

My VL has done the same thing... and I have replaced the interior with calais... still the same problem - possibly some nasties from previous accidents hiding? I didn't spend to much time looking at it... let me know if you figure it out D

Well looks like to me that they haven't been pushed in far enough. Try forward and down when you push the seat in, push hard on the middle of either door side seats. You might have to do one side at a time. Once it gets behind the latch, pushing it upwards keeps it there. They're not a very sophisticated device, look under the seat and figure out how it latches on and it should give you a better idea than i can type.

The bottom of the seat should have sorta bracing alongthe bottom, They're just thin round metal lengths that go across and along the underside of the seat. Maybe post a pic of the under part of the seat?

Yeah mate looks all good, nothing wrong there. Just try a bit harder! It should a little bit of a "thunk" sound when you get it in there. You've got the right idea, you know where it latches on. Just do it man!

take out the back rest and put the bottom part in first or failing this just make sure that the wire running perpendicular to the wire which goes into the clip is between the clip edges. if you don't understand (which is understandable) tell me your email and i'll send you the images that way.
