hey guys, i have been listening in on a few convos by some v8 enthusiasts, and not sure if the same applies to a vl turbo i am beefing up the mx7 - ie : 5 puck brass button clutch - sprung centre as well as a luk heavy duty pressure plate - now will the stock flywheel in the vl turbo hold about 220 - 240 kw at the treads? almost 300 at the fly?? of course itll get machined and so forth first- anyone know? cheers Petros

The std flywheel will hold as much power as you want, going to an aftermarket steel one is more for saftey (no chance of it flying apart under lots of revs and abuse) and you can make them the weight you want for better response etc. Lightening a cast flywheel is never recomended, it weakens them quite a bit.
