Yep the topic says it all....I decided to take my AFM apart today coz me and my mate somehow stated talkin about it, and there happened to be oil in the piping and a bit in the air filter. Just wondering if this is bad..obviously its not good!, but could over filling the oil cause this? coz my dip stick shows way over full!! I mite drain it a bit when i get a chance.

Probably got sucked up while driving or something. shouldn't do any real damage. The breather that goes from top the rocker cover usually leaks oil into the intake piping, but thats way after the AFM and air filter. Do not touch the AFM hotwire at any time, not even to clean it. The slightest touch and the wire will snap, then you obviously can't drive your car! If your car runs without problems than i'd just leave it and clean the oil out of the intake pipe walls and get a new filter.

r u running an aftermarket air filter like k&n or finer filter?? these use oil to trap any dirt, so if u r running one of these filters, it's probably from that, especially if u over oiled it after u cleaned it.
