ive changed the wiper controls and the demister control lights to red, my aftermarket gauges are backlite in red also, looks pretty cool well i think so :P to change the colour of the dash ones i think you need to get a new dash face made up. Ive tryed changing them to red also but they showed up green :?

How hard is it to change the globes in the dash? And what kind of globes do they use? My power light doesn't come on any more, not that i need it. But i miss it! and it pisses me off that it should work and doesn't.

You can buy silicon sleeves from Autobarn and other places the brand name is Narva and I have seen blue, red, green and yellow coloured silicon sleeves that come in various sizes to fit all the different types of globes - "basically a condom for globes" and best of all the silicon does not melt or fade with the heat of the globe. Try it out but not to sure if it will work on a VL as the dash face is green.

The actual plastic that the dash face it printed onto is green so no matter what color condoms you put on it will still light up a greeny color

Just a thought that might work for yall is to not put in globes behind the dash but buy those blue Type SS lights that plug into the ciggy lighter and then mount the 2 Led's either side of the dash. Lights it up pretty well, but depends really. I seen it on a VH and a VS and the VS ones were BRIGHT as and you can see it out side the car in the dark with yours and there tinted windows. I tried doing it so that you didnt need to have it PLUGGED in but in behind the ciggy lighter but it didnt work. There 20bux too. Looks good but might get pulled up by the police cos anything glowing red or blue in the car resembles cops there for can get told to take them out.

There is some stuff you can get called Elecrolumenesant Sheets that are basicly sheels of plastic that light up when power is applied to them (do a search on the net) if seen dashs that have been made from this and just an Overhead tansperency on top and they look great
