I bought my VL and 3 windows were working. They came out of a Calais. Two days after, the Drivers window stopped working and later the front passenger one simply came off the rollers and fell in. It is back into place now but does not work as well as it used to and moves heaps. I was told by an auto electrician that I probably need new regulators(and motor) fitted - the wiring and switches are ok. I was shocked to hear it would cost 250bux for each regulator plus installation costs. I need to know if i could get second hand ones that are working fine, and how much they might cost???????? Also, can the windows be fitted well to the standard VL doors so that they do not move out of place at all and move up and down quickly like they would as in a Calais that came standard with them?????? Replies would be appreciated Thanks

motors from the wreckers are about $100 ea, but you may be buying a dud anyway! 250 new is about right, they are expensive but you're better off paying the money for a new one. the install is easy with 2 ppl.
