[Turbo? non-turbo? if N/A, did you get enough power outta it to make the swap worthwhile?[/quote] non-turbo? My car stock from the factory according to spec should put out 114kw and 247Nm. A factory turbo is 150kw and 296Nm. These figures are at the flywheel if you take away a third roughly you get the result for at the wheels. You might have known most of that. My car currently puts out 110kw and 370Nm at the wheels. This more than the VL turbo. Proven too. I let you do the math. So to answer your question the swap was worthwhile. Not only that but the top end of the engine is working half as much with two cams not just one. Basically I have the beginings of an engine that could do alot more.

how much did the twin cam conversion set you back?

The conversion cost me 6G's. This included the computer aswell. Yes I could have got alot more for my money but like I said I have the beginings of something that could be big. But to tell you the truth I am not worried at the moment as I love the amount of pull this engine has. From start to when the computer hits the speed limiter at 200km's it pulls the whole way. I have not yet been able to get to fifth gear during this frenzy of acceleration. **** crap bugger and damn. Quote: Originally Posted by hornet how much did the twin cam conversion set you back?

So you are fine. When i had a cracked head i had two cyls ~1000 and the other 4 were 790ish.. ouuuuuuch.
