what is the first warning light just under the digital clock on the dash. (calais - if they are different) mine is on all the time, i think it has something to do with the radiator.. its a pic of a radiator i think and the word low next to it. ive checked the radiator and its fine. what else could it be.. or if its a faulty wire or something, how do i fix it?

it's the low fuel warning light, i think your sensor may be shagged

i think its the low water light. if i remember rightly the sender is on the passenger side of the radiator. (i can't look at mine as its in perth). to check the wire, if you earth it out the light should go out.

yeah the wire is about halfway down the passenger side of radiator. check it , just wriggle it etc ,make sure its tightly in place. should be fine

28-07-02, 16:47 GMT+10#10 my s1 n/a calais didnt have it
but my new s2 turbo calais does have it, and it stays lit up on mine too...
i thought it may have been a "low oil" warning light as i dont have the oil pressure sensor hooked up yet (so oil pressure reads all the way over to the 5 on the guage)...

28-07-02, 16:51 GMT+10#11 just looked up a wiring diagram (the ones i posted before)..
On the dash there are 3 warning lights (below the digital clock)
Low Coolant Warning Light
Oil Pressure Warning Light
Low Fuel Warning Light
not sure what order from top to bottom they go in though..

28-07-02, 18:13 GMT+10#12 The warning light senders for the radiators are ****, I know a guy that replaced **** in his turbo and the light still kept coming on so he took it to a mate who is a mechanic, he took it off blow into it, put it back on and the light went off.
Check that first

28-07-02, 21:08 GMT+10#13 Those little Radiator sensor probes are worth $60 at your Holden dealers spare parts and they are made of plastic with metal in the middle so be careful when takeing them out or installing them they strip and crack very easy I thought only the Calais had this option but I could be wrong.

28-07-02, 22:55 GMT+10#14 I have had simular probs with my coolant light coming on.
At first i though it was low concentration of coolant to water..... added coolant and it stayed off. Now it does it again, so add more coolant. But the ******* is on and off all the time now.......

29-07-02, 00:15 GMT+10#16 the low oil pressure light is on sl/exec dashes that dont have the oil pressure guage. the low coolant light is on top and the low fuel light is on the bottom. my car is a s2 n/a calais and has both low fuel and low coolant lights, so maybe the s2 had them and the s1 didn't ?

29-07-02, 11:07 GMT+10#20 ok... next question is.. where is the "low coolant" sender actually located ?? is it on the radiator ???? mine is a s1 radiator so it doesnt have any wires coming from it at all... or is it on the block somewhere (maybe near the thermostat ??)
