I have a problem with something in the drive line clunking whenever i am rolling slowly. If i put the clutch in or give the accelorator a stab it goes away. the fella i brought the car off says that someone put an auto diff in instead of manual, i cant see how this makes any difference except for ratio's maybe. i suspect that it might be the uni's but i also noticed the other day that there is some sort of disc oround the drive shaft that looks like it is meant to butt up against the diff and there is a gap between this and the diff of about 5mm maybe a little more. could this have something to do with it? oh this is in a VK by the way.

yeah i had a similar problem, used to make weird clunking noises then i saw the guard around the tailshaft where it connects to the gearbox thought that might have been bent but it turns out that the fron uni joint was completely ***ed so Mr_Sixty_9 came round and took out the 1 piece tailshaft and changed bothe the unis, now it is running sweeeeeeeeeeeet! no more noises at all, plus a lot smoother. -Jase
