How do you know they are ****ed when u replace them? Do you use the Computer Diagnostics? or do you test them for continuity etc with a multimeter? Mick

From what i can gather the Vl TPS is just a switch. Its not a TPS that gives variable readings with various throttle openings. Atleast not that i can tell from my testing. And from what i read it basically just tells the ecu when you are on throttle so use closed loop etc, or when you are on idle to use idle mixtures, rpm etc So if this is the case there shouldnt be to much in there to burn out. I havent had to pull one apart yet, so i cant swear either way. Mick

rb30 power thanks for your comments. In regards to testing the switch i tested for continuity and adjusted the switch as per test indicates but as soon as u tighten the t.p.s to the throttle body the volts drop and nothing.I have ran the car without the t.p.s and it runs fine for about a week and then it starts to misfire cough and fart.when the t.p.s. is working fine it is an extremely good package but this problem is really pissing me off any other pointers or would u want to have a look at it. p.s. your car looks familar think ive seen it around before azza

Didnt even realise that your sig said your a fellow novacastrian. About the TPS, sounds like you have a fair technical knowledge anyhow, so i dont know weather i would spot something you havent. Out of interests sake, have you adapted the VL TPS onto the Falcon throttlebody? If this is the case it seems like something isnt quite contacting properly between the switch and the throttlebody itself. Or does it work correctly for a while then fail/burnout? Cheers Mick Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
