Hi evryone, the suspension on my vl cal. is pretty hard and te whole car just vibrates to much wenn i cross railwaylines or drive on bad road! I was thinkin about getting softer suspension even tho the handling, cornering is gonna suffer from it! Enyone know what i can do to make it softer or what i nead to change(springs, shocks)? Thanks guys!

Generally it would be the shocks that make the ride uncomfortable on a road car or even low profile tyres. (35 - 40 series) what springs and shocks have you got? also does your car have urethane bushes? a lot of after-market shocks are designed for higher than std spring rates and running them with std springs can feel like ****.

Urethane bushes are suspension bushes that aren't made of rubber, they make your cars suspension work more accurately but the ride is quite harsh. If you look under the front of your car you should be able to see the bushes in the front suspension (generally urethane bushes are coloured). and if your car is lower than std your springs might have been changed or cut, this will create a harder ride. and finally your shocks might have been changed also, take a look at the colour of the shocks in the rear (might have to clean the dirt off first) to see if they are after market. But if you find that all these parts are indeed standard, you either have an extra sensitive ass or change you'll need to change your tyres back to 60 / 65 series!
