Hi guys, Got me an Autometer Oil Temp guage.. just would like to know where abouts I fit the temperature sensor probe?? What part do I need?? I have been told I require an adaptor plate that fits between the block and the oil filter. The probe is then screwed into this. Is this correct?? If so, where do I get one?? And what $$ are we talking?? thanks, CDUCME

How big is the temperature sender? Can you put a T in the oil pressure sender hole? I'd think that the best place for an oil temp gauge would be either in the sump, or if you have a turbo, in the oil outlet from that. Regards, Andrew.

Hi mate.. thanks for the help! If I use a t-piece at the oil pressure sender... would it upset the reading on the pressure gauge??? CDUCME Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Won't affect the pressure gauge at all. They should sell an adaptor where you bought the gauge. Regards, Andrew.

great.. thats good too hear!! they dont sell an adaptor as such.. i was just going to get brass t-piece and some fittings ans setup as follows: (engine) oil pressure switch \_______________________/ ___| |___ -------{_|_____|_}-------- to oil pressure to oil temp (factory) (autometer) so this is the plan?? i assume this is ok as you said? am i going to get a good temp reading from here or should i place it somewhere else?? (like get a fitting drilled into the sump?) thanks, CDUCME
