i think you can only get fined if its found to be hooked up and working in your car. Although they're illegal if it helps to slow people down, they must have some benefit. Not really worth the risk, if your a good driver you wouldn't need one anyway.

we have them in WA, only state they are legal. I've been a numerous cars with them, most owners swear by them, as long as u get a good one. You can ice off about 30-40kms before a radar picks u up (or so I'm told haha)

They are illegal to own, sell or have in a car(in NSW anyway). You won't get the demerit points if it's not in a car, but you'll get the fine. Regards, Andrew.

Make sure it's easily demountable or hidden very well... & yeah don't get caught is a good idea too. . I thought you can buy them in the ACT/something otherwise get a friend from the states to sent one over ... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
