I was just on my way home from work driving and these sneaky pricks waiting at the bottom of a steep hill at night in the dark in an unmarked cop car used the radar on me and pulled me over. I lost 4 points plus a fine and got my licence suspended for one month. I was reading other posts and I can see how u guys hate the cops breaking up your meetups and such...but come on. You can't really go 60 km/h down a steep hill can you? And still be travelling 60 when the hill goes up again. I mean come on. They wait down the bottom of the hill when every car had increased their speed. What do you guys think of their approach?

It's illegal for them to sit at the bottom of hills..you should have contested it in court. I always carry a disposable camera in the car, for accidents or this type of thing. Take your camera out to take photos of where they are parked, and watch their attitude change! They sit at the bottom of hills because they have a quota, and it's the easiest way to meet quota. Regards, Andrew.

Is it actually written anywhere in the law/policies that this is the case ? Ive seen quite a few police cars sitting at the bottom of hills.

Quote: You can't really go 60 km/h down a steep hill can you? And still be travelling 60 when the hill goes up again. No you can't if you have faulty brakes or a misfiring engine! Do you think downhills should have a higher speed limit than uphills then??????? I've had Police mates set up radar going up steep hills and people then give the excuse: "But i had to go fast to get up the hill" and they are serious!!!! Lets not make this whole forum a 'cop bashing' exercise. We're here to talk about VL's aren't we??????? Can one of the board nazi's end this one now please before it goes like the other one
