where would the best place to get clutch for my VLT. I need one to be able to hold the power that GT35 700hp will deliver. I was thinking about the Heavy Duty Cushioned Ceramic Button cluctch shown here at http://www.horsepowerinabox.com./mall/ck63.asp. What do guys think. Is there anyway of finding out the part no. for the clutch plate shown above, and then buying a higher clamping force pressure plate?

where are you from??? Carters Clutch Service in Maitland NSW (dont know the number) built me a clutch for my VLT using a 5 puck ceramic clutch plate and they do a slip ring mod on the pressure plate to give more clamping force. also machined the flywheel etc for $490 which is a pretty good price.

i cant comment from personal experience as the engine and g/box are still in pieces at the moment but i talked to a couple of people who have them and they reckon thet they are pretty good. They use a sprung centre on the clutch plate (as opposed to solid which are more or less on-off , no slip point) and were described to me as giving a more "grabby?" feel than an organic plate but you can still slip them a bit to get moving instead of having to drop the clutch evry time you take off (solid centre). Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

im running a exedy race clutch single plate clutch ceramic. Can be a little harsh in traffic but hey if u want it to handle bulk horsepower u gotta make some compromises.
