Ive just bought a new VL Power aerial unit. As this includes a new motor, would i be right in saying i will need to take the whole pannel off the car to put this in? Or is there an easier way (other then paying someone to do it) ??

umm i'm pretty sure panel can stay in man. jack the car up.. remove the wheel then take out the plastic piece in the wheel arch to give u access to the aerial.. shouldnt be too hard at all.

you can fit it by just turning wheels full lock left, this leaves you enough room to take off plastice piece under arch and to access it, may be easier with wheel off though if you gotta do some drilling

Was it a genuine one? If not how did you make it work with the dual height switch?

It was only a matter of connecting 2 wires together and the ground. It all worked fine. I can get the brand of the aerial i bought and what not if you want it. I paid $89 for it and works great Except the trouble i'm having getting the aerial cable into the back of my deck, but that another story 8) Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Was wondering with the electric ariel can you fit them to standard executives? Mine got snapped again for 3rd time this year and was thinking on getting an electric one. Anyone installed it to a vl executive?

It can be done easily with a deck that will put the aerial up and down for you, that way you wont have to put a manual switch in, which still is easy to do if you want to do it. Just a matter of wiring up the power and ground Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
