Does anyone know the exact paint type or code for restoring a VL Red rocker cover back to factory specs? I know its a "wrinkle finish" which will be hard to replicate, but does anyone know the exact paint code etc? Cheers

just go down to autobarn and you can get ripple red heat proof engine paint in a can. I did this a few years ago cant remember what brand it was but it came up the same as original. looked way too red when I first sprayed it and it doesnt wrinkle till it dries, i though it was going to look ****e but it dried perfect, use paint stripper first and take it back to bare metal, there is no need to undercoat.

Try the HPC red, it looks better in person, and if you get oil or dirt on it it wipes straight off, will not chip etc. was $70NZD Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The spraycan you are after is made by VHT and will do the job. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Ill also vouch for the Autobarn VHT Ripple stuff. I saw a VHT Red Ripple job on a rocket cover yesterday on a skyline r31 cover. looks just like the vls did the factory day they came out. great stuff - ill be using it too soon.
