well i got my hands on a set of 15" hdt director aero off my uncles wagon which came off a ute before that. now here's the thing when i fit them on they sit tooo far out and when having only 215 tyres on they rub on the graud when taking a heavy corner and before hand my ceptors with 225's only just rubbed on hard corners. is there different offset aero's hdt brought out becoz they r orginal hdt rims and have been stamped.

What suspension configuration do you have on the VK at the moment? Those wheels should not rub on the guards at all! I had the 16's on mine with Kmac suspension lowered 2 1/2" and had no problems at all with 235 tires. they didnt rub out at all. Have a look at your suspension set up and possibly even a narrower set of tyres like a 215's? Yours Jeremy.

nah aeros have 205's on them cepts have 225's on them aeros rub becoz they stick out for some reason. cepts don't rub unless taking a corner hard aeros seem to have a different offset and stick out more. just wondering if this is normal did hdt bring out 2 different offsets?

If the Aeros have 205's on them, there should be no problem at all.? I am unaware of any different offsets being released on the HDT rims. The 15' and 16" Areo's should align flush with the outer panel work. have a look at the photo's of Davis L's SS and let me know they sit any diffrently? are they definitely genuine Directionals and not the 15" x 7" Momo alloy rims from the WB Magnum by any chance? What suspension set up are you running at the moment? Jeremy.

Aero's definitely only came in the one offset. Do they rub on the front or back??? For some reason the rims are a very tight fit over the suds on the rear, so ensure the rims are on all the way. This is the case on each car I tried my Aero's on - 3 in total. Not real hard to get on, just a tighter fit than the front. Do they rub on both sides or just one?? if it's only one side could mean you need an adjustable panhard rod?? Dunno, let me know how you go.

no i've fitted them on again. and they r on right 100% sure. i checked on the wheels and they r 100% HDT ones and also have 15x7JJ i think from member on the nest groove along from the one with the HDT stamp on them. they still look like they stick out a mile i sent sin the pics and he agreed. i'm not too sure what's the deal. the whole rim nearly sticks out from the graud it's only inside the graud about 1" or less. if u want pics give me ur emails and i'll send away

[email removed] There's a little email button at the bottom of peoples posts, so you can get smoked's email from there. Just a though, is it just the back that is too wide, or the front too?? If it's just the back, does your car have a different diff in it?? as VN VP live rear ends are wider than VK's.

The factory 16" Aero's on my Corsa scrub occasionly with 225's on them because the VL was a wider diff than the VK that they were first used on. Yet my 17" Momo Stars with 235's seem to be OK. I know that most HDT VL's list on their build sheets 'rear wheel arch mods'. Might be possible that they did it to the VK's as well. Corsa

Momo made the HDT supplied rims in only 16*7" and 16*8" with HDT cast on the inside. Mine are 17*7.5" Momo Stars that were available for general sale in the Momo catalog just like the 16" ones were and no i don't want to sell them as it would be way to hard to work out what i could replace them with that i would actually like. I hate most mag wheel designs.

Did the IRS VL brocks have Aero's and if so did they have a different offset? I know the VP IRS has a different offset to the other models in that year.

IRS VL's were only the Aero and Director and they were both fitted with either the series II Aero's (on the Aero only) or the Momo's.
