I've got a full metal jacket system on mine plus a black widow alarm. If you can find someone who installs the full metal jacket system I would definately recommend you think about getting one , they are really hard to bypass.

Don't leave the car unattended in places that you don't trust, say like train stations, where cars are easy to break into and steal.

Remove fuel pump relays, coil lead, kill swicthes, club lock another cheap arse lock from the brake pedal to the steering wheel, padlock around the T-bar on auto's, full metal jacket on ingnition switch, solex door locks a good aftermarket alarm. But I never park my car where I cannot see it and when I have to go out shopping or catch public transport I use a piece of **** Ford XD. And when parked at home it's always locked in the garage with chains around the the diff and bolted to the cement floor and the garage also has an alarm connected up as well as my trusty pig dogs to keep guard. I'm parranoid about car theive's there are too many out there and the Police don't give a stuff if you lose your car to these scum.

Whoa Red RB30 Jet.... Second to parking your car in a Military arms base, i'd say thats gotta be the best security out there.

I got a kill switch wired up 2 mine. The ****ing thing wont start unless I turn it on. It will just keep turning over if any asshole gets in and tries 2 start it. Cheap and somewhat effective. Get ur auto electrition 2 hook 1 up. Just think of a good spot to put it or use a already existing switch/button. Cheers Kingy

kingyvl ill switches are useless, there a wire (not sure which one) cut in half with a switch?!?! Look for the wire cut and running to the switch..connect it back up as one wire.....and bobs ya uncle.....how hards that? Also to bypass the kill switch ya just gotta bridge the two nuts on the started motor and .......broom......theres ya car....best thing to do is take out a fuse or two, club lock to deter them and maybe if ya cant afford a real alarm ($600+) get a sound alarm, if they make to much noise then there rooted!! Still they can take the battery leads off....... get what stuarts got, a full metal jacket, or fort knox like RB30 JET. Still be smart dont be a retard to where you leave it unattended.....

Hey fellas, A little off the topic but when i was looking at buying a Bunky the guy there did the sales pitch on this old Ford Fairlane... and then he's gone "Pop out the side window, grab the tranny dipstick and stick it in the barrel lock... turn, and she's fired up" So not only had he just showed me how nice the car was (NOT) he'd then showed me how easily the damm thing could be stolen... Wanker. Anyway i use a Mongoose alarm.

Kill switches can be used on fuel pumps as well, not just starter motors. I think that every possibe security measure possibe should be used. But u can not rely on one device alone. I would reccomend that if u have remote central locking u can simply remove the metal rod going into the back of each lock, if someone tries to enter by forcing the lock, its not going to work as its not connected. Also buy the best alarm that u can afford with, 2or3 back up battery sirens. Has anyone heard about those sirens that u can put inside your car. Apparently they are made so that the noise is so high pitched u cannot stand the noise? IS this bull****?

I've heard those sirens that you can't stand to be around..... They are a pain in the ass, but they don't make you spew etc.... Their just ****in loud, and make a wierd pulsating going on in your head... drives you nuts, but i could still stand next to one... Nothing a pair of muffs won't fix anyway... So what is the best alarm/central locking kit around at the moment? Just one that does the job, doesnt need to be able to brush your teeth for you as an added extra !

guys i have one of those sirens in my car the alarm cost 600+ then an extra 45 for the siren. man this is the loud'es siren that i have ever herd it is under the dash and i had to pull the dash out to put it in that way it is almost impossible to disarm and i tell you. you can not sit in the car when it is on all so have 2 extra cut of switchers one on starter (not that efective can just push start) and on fuel pump make it as hard as possible i can hear the think from one to two blocks away Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Full metal jackets are quite good. Install it yourself, they're easy. Alarms are a pain. All the thief has to do is pierce the siren with a screwdriver to stop the noise. Get an immobiliser instead, they are good but not perfect.

I've got a Cheetah Supercop. Full metal jackets can be installed by the RAA (Adelaide) and more than likely, the other states equivs. You need to see if your key comes out when the cars running, if it does you'll need a new barrell too. I priced a NEW genuine holden barrell for $130 installed. They'll also redo your doors to match the new key for $70 each. But lets face it, if someone REALLY want's to nick you car, they will. Alarms/immobilisers are for keeping punks away. A mate of mine had his VX SS nicked from his double garage. Thing is, the roller door it was behind was a knack door (slightly dodgy), so the stupid ******* did a 1001 point turn to get it lined up with the other door, then drove out. Later found it stripped/burt. They got the ******* who bought the hot GENIII tho'. BTW: OVL087, LMAO!! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Full metal jackets are a three or four ? piece metal shield that goes around the ignition rod and wiring in the steering column. They stop thieves from smashing the plastic and manipulating the rod to start the car. They also have a metal piece over the barrel to stop thieves using a large screwdriver to force the ignition on. Buy them from GMH and they come with instructions.
