Well you need something that the cops aren't even gonna look at... thats why I steered clear of gemini's etc.
My last bunky was a 200B datsun, was good but looked too bunky and eventually got a yellow sticker.
I now have the perfect bunky...its an 83 nissan bluebird... got cd player and ****....rwd for when u get the urge to drop the odd skid etc - costed me $1300 but that was including an 800 stereo system. I think its worth paying a bit more to get something thats gonna last.
Regards,
Damian.
I agree with Damian, Nissan Bluebird the whole way!!
Saw a POS gemini, old, crap body yadda yadda for $500, thought nah, I can get heaps better than that.. looked at Bluebirds that day
I got my first one for $250, wagon, 5spd, crap body sweet engine, crashed it same day being stupid, bought another for $300, wagon, auto, same day with semi-stuft engine but perfect body and interior 192000kms, im the 3rd owner, absolute steal, swapped engines over a month and now I got a sweet driving bunky that dont get attention from cops.. only problem was it took until I blew the head gasket to settle down and drive it like a normal car. I got about 130km's yesterday out of $10, its a L20 3 speed auto too
go the bunky's!!! wooo

oh, forgot to add, if my 2nd bunky had good engine to start, it woulda sold for $1800+ easy, real happy with that deal, couldnt believe my eyes when i checked it.. didnt even try and knock him down from his $300 advertised

I was thinkin bout a basic Bunky for the daily crawl to work.... there was a VB Commodore for $600.
And it was a Bunky.... it was brown with crap rims and had the grandpa style roof racks. Not to mention brown and yellow pin stripes.
And still a commodore for if you want to lay down the odd blackie.
you dont need a commo to lay a blackie in. Any manual can lay a strip or two. The gf's 89 sonata can chirp into 4th on a wet day. Its only a 2L 5spd fwd, rebuilt 30k ago. goes like a treat
my sisters 81 fully fuct laser can bag it up in 1st, but now requires redline to do so. It used to chirp 3rd in the dry when i first started driving it about 2yrs ago.
even kris manual can do some crazy stuff, he comes online and goes **** man, i did a hel joy handy on the way to work in the bunky today. and it travels far and wide, still keeps on keeping on.
But droo, whats done to your car, that warrants a bunky? I mean **** if its stock, dont be a tight ass. thats like me getting a bunky so my fairmont can rest at home. No need for it just YET (bring on next yr )
anyhow, i suggest a laser, they last forever, use **** all fuel, and there fun to drive, and cops dont look at them. ever, regardless of condition
